Estimated Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition Information

The 2024 summer study abroad tuition rate is $1,080 per credit hour. All students must take the full 5 credit hours offered.

Please note that tuition and fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change. The tuition rate does not include housing, airfare, meals, or other incidental expenses.

Summer tuition is typically due around June 1. Students utilizing financial aid will have their aid disbursed to the student account no earlier than 10 days prior to the start of the program. Financial aid that has been accepted by the student will appear as a pending credit on the bill until it is disbursed. Students do not need to submit payment for the portion of the bill that is covered by financial aid while waiting for the funding to disburse.

Financial Aid Information

Students may be eligible for federal or private student loans up to the total estimated cost of attendance for the summer study abroad program. Students who borrowed the annual maximum of $20,500 in the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan during the preceding fall and spring semesters will have their federal student loan eligibility limited to the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan for their summer enrollment. Additional information about loans can be found on the Financial Aid page. Summer financial aid notifications are emailed to enrolled students who have completed a 2023-2024 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning in April.

Wake Forest Law institutional scholarships do not apply to summer courses or study abroad programs.

If you have any questions about your financial aid eligibility, please contact the Wake Forest Law Financial Aid Office at lawfinaid@wfu.edu or (336) 758-6103.

If you are a non-WFU student seeking financial aid:

Any financial aid for non-WFU students will be processed by the student’s home institution. Please contact your school’s financial aid office for more information about your eligibility. Your school will need the contact information listed above so that they can prepare a consortium agreement for us to sign. Non-WFU students are not eligible for financial aid from Wake Forest Law.

Payment Information

Students can pay online through the Deacon Electronic Account Center (DEAC), which is the online WFU electronic billing system where students and authorized payers can view student account activity and pay by e-check. Students can access DEAC through their WIN account. For parents to receive e-statement notification and gain access to DEAC, the student must set up the parent as an authorized payer. Please visit the Student Financial Services website for more information and for the parent and student log-in links.

Cancellations and Refunds

If we must cancel a summer program because of limited enrollment or travel or other safety concerns, we will notify the students enrolled by e-mail or phone, and we will fully refund any deposit, tuition, and WFU-owned housing charges paid.  Furthermore, we will use our best efforts to make arrangements for each student enrolled to attend a similar program, if the student desires.
